News From The Tigers Lair
(AFLQ - Sunday 6th July 2008) Cats Beat Tigers
Labrador trailed Broadbeach by just two points at half-time, but had no winners after the long break. Josh Woods and Michael Doyle are two Tigers who have refused to raise the white flag in recent weeks and they both tried desperately hard again today.
(AFLQ - Sunday 29 June 2008) WHITE SHINES FOR VULTURES
Ageless veteran Darryl White continues to enjoy the best of his three seasons in the AFLQ State League with another outstanding display against Labrador yesterday. Labrador was valiant for three quarters, trailing by two, 17 and 23 points at the first three breaks, before being steamrolled by a nine-goal-to-one final term. Labrador welcomed back Trent Knobel and he produced a dominant display in the ruck, giving his small men like Todd Featherstone plenty of opportunities at ground level. Aaron Shattock has been a threat since being used more in the forward line.
(AFLQ - June 22nd 2008) SHARKS SMASH TIGERS
The Tigers led entering time-on of the first term before the Sharks nailed the last two goals of the quarter, then the Sharks blasted 22.16-3.4 after quarter-time.

(Gold Coast News - May 31, 2008) - Shattock In Stellar Form In Loss To Morningside
We let them go in the first quarter and fought back, but did we use up our petrol? Or did Morningside go up a gear late and we didn't go with them.
(Gold Coast News - May 26, 2008) Loss to Redland We kicked 15 goals but bled the other way.
A week after upsetting Zillmere, Labrador crashed back to earth with a 17-15 (117) to 14-15 (99) away loss to Redland. "That sure takes the gloss off last week," said coach Byron Donnellan who was happy that his side scored so well but disappointed that they let so many in. "We kicked 15 goals but bled the other way. It was unaccountability on the defensive side, much like we were downhill skiers."
(Gold Coast News - May 18, 2008) ENTHUSIASTIC TIGERS COME ROARING BACK
Re-born Labrador showed their season was far from over with a gutsy two-point win over Zillmere today. Despite trailing for most of the day, the Tigers were never out of the contest and timed their run perfectly, hitting the front in the final two minutes.
(Gold Coast News - May 17, 2008) Korey Fulton To Miss Zillmere Clash
LABRADOR'S tumultuous week carried through to the selection table yesterday when the Tigers lost full-forward Korey Fulton to injury. The former Broadbeach spearhead, in his first season at the Tigers, was ruled out of tomorrow's AFLQ Division 1 clash against Zillmere in Brisbane with an achilles strain.
